Our first ever trip to Kerala state in 2008 was truly memorable. We visited several well-known places such as Kumarakom, Allapey, Thekkady, Periyar and Munnar. We stayed in exotic hotels efficiently run on environmentally- friendly lines, including an overnight ride on a beautifully appointed houseboat. Our trip was made all the more enjoyable as we were met at the airport and driven everywhere in a comfortable air conditioned car by a personable young man who was a superb driver and knowledgeable guide. We especially enjoyed our stay in Periyar, where our hotel was situated in a spice plantation. A ferry ride on the Periyar lake nearby brought into view plenty of wild life. All in all, our holiday was well planned and we felt safe at all times. We are very happy to recommend the services of Ranjit Giri who organised this marvellous holiday for us.

I have travelled with Ranjit on several wildlife tours and safaris to India. He has a vast and impressive knowledge of wildlife and forest conservation. He has taken me to places no one else can. Wildlife up close. His arrangements have always been impeccable. Exacting to the last detail so there were never any hitches. Super luxury tented camps, quiet house boats, clean and comfortable home stays and always, always – the animals! It has been great fun travelling with him and I will do it again.

Ranjit from Safari Guides organised our tea tour around India. The bungalows and residences on the tea fields he organised were beyond what we were expecting. The settings, the food, the guided tour, the teas; deeply tied into the beauty and welcoming hospitality of each local culture we experienced.
Ranjit himself provided a depth of knowledge only a true local of the Indian tea world and a man of that land could provide!
Safari Guides provided us with a once in a lifetime experience – no hesitation to make it twice in a lifetime if we get the chance. Thank-you Ranjit and Safari Guides!
